Alex, Manuel, Kyle & Kele- I'm experiencing the same thing as we type. First off, my local dealer pulled code 3-1-4 and said I needed a new ABS control unit (cost approx. $400 total).Since i'm out of warranty and don't usually jump at the first diag., I took a rain-check. But according to my manual 3-1-4 is a faulty sensor, so I'll change that soon. Since then the light comes on more frequently AND there is a random activation of some motor(ABS motor maybe) for a few seconds. I could be accelerating or crusing or braking(not hard) and the "unit" would run for a few seconds and then the ABS/TRAC lights comes on. I'm at a total loss for whats happening.

Anyone out there know whats the problem, I'd appreciate any insight?? Also does it seem that Volvos ABS/Trac units are problemtic?? Maybe they should fix it at a discount since it appears to fail on its own. Thanks in advance for all help!
