Check valves V70-XC70

LOTS of them. I just doubt a car older than this will have a valve in better condition... I hate to blow good money on another bad part.

I don't know how the system works or exactly what the valve does so it's hard to evaluate what's broken. I pulled the valve out the fender this evening and it definitely passes air in both directions. Maybe it's supposed to? Maybe there is supposed to be a check valve or similar on the canister to prevent flow out? There is no description of the system whatsoever in the US 850 Haynes, UK S70 Haynes, or Chilton manuals. I hate these books. I really enjoy hopping on Helms' website and ordering Ford and GM factory manuals. :(

I guess I'll go try the dismantler on Saturday. I've known those guys for a couple decades now due to past Saab & Volvo ownership... maybe they'll let me test a few out.
