Factory WS Manuals, Air pump, Mail order parts, etc.. 850 1997

My Volvo just went out of warranty a few months ago and I need to tackle any future repars myself. I have the experiecne to work on the car, just not the manuals. I called Volvo's litterature line and had them fax a list of manuals. The problem I have is trying to figure out what manual I need. I have a normally aspired 1997 850. I am showing a check engine light for the Air Pump. I want the manual that covers the air pump, air pump check valve, and any test procedures to determine what it bad. The dealer just wants to replace everything without any test procedures (typical dealer). Anybosy know what WS manual covers those parts? There are 5 different manual that might cover these items! The name of the manuals seem to say that there were multiple engine management systems available on the 1997 model year (motronic 4.3, motronic 4.4, motronic 4.4 (MFI), and fenix 5.2 (?)). All of these manuals cover the same group contents.

My next question is where are some good mail order parts places for Volvo's.

My next question is does anybody have any experience changing out the air pump and air pump check valve for the catalytic converter? Any tips are welcome.

Thanks and have a great day,

Brad H.
