Re: Engine Stabilizer Mount - DIY job? 850 1995

Hey Terry,

I have a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo.

About a year ago I replaced my engine stabilizer with the IPD upgrade.

It is a real simple procedure- I recommend it !

Go to the "volvospeed.com" site "bay13" reapirs and maintenance section- they detail the procedure.

If I recall, the steps are basiccally as follows:

Remove the bolt going thru the factory piece and use a hack saw blade to carefully cut thru the bushing ( carefull not to cut the brace).

Hey, its really simple - i did it in less than 30 minutes.

As far as it being stiffer - I do not notice anything negative at all- works great!

Best of all- the factory part seems to be a part prone to frequent replacement..Why not put in something that will last a bit longer?

Good Luck !
