Caliper question 850

I did make a call to my local dealer (I try to use OEM when possible) but the caliper seal kit and hardware kits were too high. I did place an order with Tasca for the seal kits and they run $19 a caliper. They too had a kit with all the hardware (clip spring in front of caliper along with slide pins and rubber parts) but at $35 a caliper it made no sense. One of those rubber parts for the slide pin is torn pretty good and should be replaced.

I have a spare caliper that I'm rebuilding as a spare so is there a correct way to pull the rubber part off the caliper so I can reuse on another caliper? The rubber part seems like it cannot be removed.
