Frozen brake cable 850

My "junker" 1996 850 did not have working parking brakes when I got it last month. No big deal, except it is a manual tranny car! That means I can't park it just anywhere.

So, I ordered new shoes, rotors, pads. The history showed a shop had 'turned' the rear rotors, so replacement is mandatory in my book.

ANYWAY, I found that the driver's side cable will not move. It is not broken, probably just rusted beyond hope? Does this mean I have to order a new cable? Should I get OEM (Taska) for $49.90 +S&H or get Scan Tech (FCP) for $31.36 + no S&H? Too late to order for shipping today.

The rear bench doesn't want to lift up...

Thanks
