P0088 Fuel Rail Pressure High V702.5T V70-XC70 2005

My check engine light came on yesterday while driving. To my surprise today when I started it, no codes found. After a few minutes of idling, P0088 Fuel Rail High Pressure exceeded.

I did a search online, and in one post I saw "split oil cooler - only opens on acceleration" or something like that.

Now here is some background. A month ago, I was parked against one of those concrete parking space stops. Instead of reverse, I was in drive. Popped right over and "thump".

I haven't inspected it closer yet, but the obvious question is does this sound like the obvious? I am wondering why an oil cooler issue would affect the fuel pressure, but maybe I should just climb under the car?
