Top won't retract C70 2007

Thanks. Independent shop my son works at finally got the car in and scanned it. Code is C053, "Hydraulic Pump Signal Missing." They're not equipped to go chasing wiring harnesses or connectors so recommended a local body shop or the dealer. Ouch.

The other recommendation, in today's crazy used-car market, is sell as-is. As long as the AC works (Memphis) and the car looks and runs well, it will sell. Blue Book value is out the window these days. Thing is, I'd probably come out even if I had it repaired then sold it as opposed to just selling it.

In the meantime, I'm looking up the C053 code and seeing if there's anything I can try myself before listing it.

The top worked fine, then we had a week of snow and it sat parked. After the thaw the top wouldn't work. I'd wonder if a weak battery would cause this but it fires right up and I've driven it on my commute.
