advice on buying a 850 T 850

Hello everybody!

Well, I would like to get my hands on a HPT 850, I am not familiar with these cars at all as I am with the RWD volvos ('91 940T and '83 240T). So I would like to ask several questions to get a good idea of what I want to get.

1.- How easy is to get aftermarket parts for the cars (1997 and older)
2.- How friendly are these cars to DIY's
3.- Availability of service manual other than volvo's
4.- What are most expensive repairs that i have to be concern about.
5.- Is the "R" version worth to go after.

I think that's all for now, thaks a lot for your replies.
