Can anyone here access my service history? 850 1996

I bought my car used at 34K about two years ago. Because I am a fanatic about service records, I just called my local dealer in an attempt to obtain whatever Volvo-performed service history prior to my purchase is in their records (or in Volvo's master, super-computer database). They basically told me to F**k Off, saying that info is, in essence, the property of the former owner of that car. Has anyone else heard this load of bullsh*t before? I am pissed.

Second question: are there any Volvo employees on this board who can help me obtain this info, if it is actually available? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
