Solder is fine if you know how to do it. V70-XC70 1998

Why stay away from solder? If you know how to do it its super easy, and with todays surface mount chips its even easier and safer, (no holes or traces to burn up) Both flash and solder are good and if you have a socket then you can switch between programs, or if you have a socket you can put in a special board with a switch so you can switch programs on the fly, thats what I have.
