Changing Front Differential Oil V70-XC70 1998

I have a question regarding changing the oil in the front differential on a '98 XC. It appears that there is only one plug about mid-way up the housing so you have to suction out as much of the old oil as you can get. Does anyone know if the plug is located at the right height to indicate that the differential is properly filled when the oil starts to come out the hole? The Volvo manual I have doesn't give any details about this. Also, I didn't remove the vibration damper under the differential, is it possible that a drain plug is hiding there? Thanks for any help.
