should I buy this car? V70-XC70 2001

Do you know why second owner is selling? Are there service records? Heavy tire and brake usage could be a sign that the first owner was Boston Coach. Boston Coach, which is owned by the Johnson family that owns Fidelity Investments, buys V70 2.4Ts and S80s for use as livery vehicles. They usually run them for 20-25K miles and then put them through auctions. The colors are usually dark blue, silver, or moondust. If you ever go to the Marine Air Terminal at LaGuardia Airport you will see at least a hundred of them on any given day. This is not necessarily a bad thing but you should know that perhaps the vehicle was used as a taxi. Or, perhaps I am totally off base and the previous owner was just somebody who used the brakes a lot and drove the car hard. The asking price seems to be around what you see these vehicles being offered at dealers in the Northeast.
