Volvo 460 GL 1990

Just bought a Volvo 460 GL. Apaprt form inlet manifold and carb gaskets needing replaced (monday), oh and ignition relay (done) - its in great nick and as a new Volvo driver, I'm really happy. The only thing is it didnt come with a manual (owner/tech) and I have no idea what the average MPG is on these things! Can anyone help me with either of these please?
