850's ECU 850

The ECU's are specific to the year, engine and transmission of your car. You may have 2 ECU's from the same year, and same model, and same engine, but unless they are both automatics, or manual the car won't hardly run.

If you are really interested then make sure the new one has the same Bosch/Volvo Part # as the one you have in your car now. They can be reprogrammed, but I have no idea how.

Personally I'd take the much easier and safer but more expensive route and get the TME/IPD ECU.
