oil consumption figures S60 2001

I have a 1998 V70T5 with 95,000 miles (same motor). It uses absolutely no oil between changes. Zero. Not a drop. I did switch to Mobil-1 synthetic oil at about 1000 miles in despite warnings to allow the rings to seat first.

I have heard complaints (here) of some 850-SVC70s using oil. I'm not sure if the examples were purchased new or ex-lease cars with questionable service histories. You might try searching the archives.
