AT fluid filter location? 850 1995

I bought an automatic transmission fluid filter from IPD back about 10 months ago for $25. When I received the part, everything looked pretty nice until I took a look under the hood. It came with a small, not very explicit install sheet that says to install it right in the middle of the OEM rubber trans line.
The only problem would seem to me is that that particular line has a huge bend in it, with no real straight section for this filter. Has anyone ever installed one of these on their 850 with no problems?
