Any one tried heating up the bracket to replace top motor mount? 850 1995

I just got a 1994 850 Turbo Wagon. The bushing was shot. I had a hard time getting the old one out. Managed to get the center part out with a air hammer. The rest I did by heating the bracket with a small torch and then using a chisel and hammer (a big hammer) and banged away until it finally pushed out. I think the big hammer was the key, but the heating may have helped.

The two-piece urethane bsuhing was a snap to install...almost too easy. I kept thinking I did something wrong.
