850 Alternator 850

I replaced the battery on my 96 850T Platinum about 2 mos. ago. Last week the dash indicator appeared twice and by Sat. the battery was dead. Charged battery and check the voltage w/ engine running, 13.25v. Is this considered to low for the alternator? Running the ac,headlights, radio, etc only changed the voltage a couple of tenths so it would appear the regulator is OK.
If the alternator should be changed who has the best pricing on it?
Also, looks like is would be a hassle to change as its under the PSteering pump. Any tips to make the job easier?

Thanks!
John
