DEQ Sucks!!!!! 850 1996

Just bought a 1996 850 GLT with 90k.
I bought the car from a dealer in AZ. Drove the car home 1600 miles to OR, no problems she drives like a dream. Received the title in the mail went to DMV to transfer title they said go to DEQ. Went to DEQ they plugged into OBD2 port, apparently some old error codes still in the system. Went to a mechanic friend to clear the codes, codes cleared. They drove the car around town and on the freeway to "reset" the ready codes. Tested when they went back to shop, their system noted some systems not ready. I called dealership, they asked if car serviced locally, I told them I bought car out of state. Their responce was for $250-300 they would take the car through the drive cycle, 2-3 HR process, and pass it through DEQ. Anyone know what it takes to get an 850 through its drive cycle? I have no problem spending 2-3 hours driving my new Baby.
