Cd changer 850

I just got a used Volvo CD changer for my 1995 850 turbo wagon with the CD changer control enabled radio and need some help installing.

I have heard that the changer can go in the glove box. Is this true and if so is there a different box "insert" so the changer will fit? Otherwise, where would it mount?

Also, is the Volvo-Alpine changer CD changer interface the right connector for this unit?

And last, in addition to the 8-pin DIN there is another connector that doesn't seem to plug into the back of the radio anywhere. Is this plug used?

Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
