ATF FLUSH METHOD: OFFICIAL vs. BAY13 850 1994

Did mine a month ago. I found this method to be the easiest.
1) Disconnet the upper cooler hose to the radiator.
2) Attach a 1/2" inner diameter clear plastic hose to the line and secure with a small hose clamp. Move the hose clip back far enough on the hose to get a clamp on the plastic tube and trans line connector.
3) Get an empty gallon jug from windshield fluid and put the clear hose in it
4) Start the car and evacuate 2 quarts of old trans fluid in the jug
5) Add 2 new quarts to the trans via dip stick tube. ( buy the small funnel)
6) Empty the jug and repeat the process until the color coming out is the same as the color of the new fluid
7) Replace the trans cooler line. I tie wrapped the clip. Be careful -- the clip only goes on one way, but you should not have to remove it from the hose unless it breaks.
8) It takes between 14 and 16 quarts total and about an hours time.

Good luck
