Blower motor stops 850

A recent problem showed up on my 94 855 Turbo. When the internal temperature is high and the car is first started, the A/C kicks in and the blower motor comes on high (in Auto mode). After about 30-45 seconds, the blower motor shuts off and won't come back on, even when put in manual mode, until I shut the ignition off and restart the car. Then it is fine and doesn't re-occur while driving. This 'quirk' has happened twice in the last couple of days (it has been in the upper 80's outside, so hotter internally) and both times, simply sutting the engine off and restarting got the fan going again. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!
