Go for RWD

If I were you I would look for a '95 940 turbo wagon. Roomy, confortable, fast and most of all RELIABLE.

Besides you are familiar with the 940 anyway, easy to work in the engine bay, cheaper parts, written manuals, and that red engine B230 can go 300K miles easy with some maintenance.

Having said that, I own a '92 RWD 745 and a '98 FWD V70 GLT. The V70 is a confortable, nice looking, sporty fast wagon (low pressure turbo) and fun to drive. But the FWD is not as reliable as my 740, is more expensive to maintain, hard to access components in the engine area, and the electronics in the car(weakest link) can be a nightmare, from ABS module failure, PNP switch failure, etc. Do a search on ABS failure and you'll see.

If you are going to go for a V70, avoid the AWD and go for the GLT model which is a low pressure turbo. You can find one with low miles (75K) for about $9000. Be patient, search and you'll find the right one.
