CYLINDER MISFIRES - WRONG BRAND OF PLUGS V70-XC70 1998

Own a 98 V70 T5 and a few weeks ago wrote a post asking about hesitation/misfire during hard acceleration. Several posts replied to check the plugs, which I did eventhough I had replaced them within 8k miles. Took the car to an independent volvo mechanic who diagnosed the trouble codes as "cylinder misfires". "You have the wrong plugs...the wrong brand of plugs. We've ran into this several times before". When I did the tuneup I purchased Bosch plugs from a reputable Volvo aftermarket business. Apparently, according to the mechanic, whenever they've had the same misfire problem, it involved non volvo spark plugs. So, new OEM Volvo plugs are going in. We'll see what happens.
