I use Bosch Super copper electrode spark plugs at $1.00 each in my '98 V70 GLT(turbo) with no problems. You don't need Volvo brand spark plugs.
I am betting that your hesitation problem is not plug related. Have you replaced the cap, rotors and wires, that would be my next move.
