She's right about most of that stuff. A/C evap core is a killer. They need to remove the entire dash to get to that one, a whole days labor, two guys on the job to do it in a day, the whole dash out, you get the idea. My local dealership gets $1200 for that one. I've been lucky, haven't needed it yet.
PNP switch, you could buy the part and do that one yourself without to much trouble. There are good instructions on bay 13 for that repair, and it'll save you a boat load of money.
ABS module is expensive for the part. Just about anyone can replace it in their driveway in 15 minutes, but the part does cost about $700. Several people on this site have used this guy whole rebuilds your old module for a fraction of that cost, and they seem to have had good luck with him. The other big killer with these cars is transmissions, although I've heard the 93's and 94's had the worst of this problem, so maybe you'll be lucky. Also rear main engine seals tend to fail, giving you a decent sized oil leak. I just had that done on my car, $700 and that was a pretty good price, dealerships wanted $1100.
