No More Mann? - Mahle Oil Filters V70-XC70 2000

2000 V70 NA

I just order a set of Mann oil filters (HU819X) from my favorite supplier. Instead I received Mahle OX 149 D. They look very similar, but the hole is slightly smaller and there are fiber end caps on the filter. The box says this is equivalent to Volvo 1275811.

Nick said that Mann in no longer making the HU819X filters for Volvo, because of a dispute. (RWD guys don't worry. They are still making those)

Does anyone have experience with this filter? Is it an equivalent for my V70?

Also, where does the oil cap gasket go? I have a thin o-ring that obviously goes around the filter body. What about the thicker, small diameter one?
