understanding how it works..... V70-XC70 1998

Hey thanks for your help.

I'm going to put the new pump/sas valve in this weekend. I'm curious to see how much water comes out of the dead one.

The only thing that surprises me is that nobody else responded to this thread as to whether it was a good idea or a bad idea or other experiences. (Has nobody else tried this?)

It sounds good to me, so I am all for it.

When you drilled the hole you made a 1/8" hole? and did you drill it through the hose that connects to the nipple on the blower motor? I supose I can pull the host up a little off the nippled before tightening the clamp.

I'll probably have a better understanding when I see exactly where the unit is mounted. I have the new pump so I understand what you are talking about but it will be much clearer when I see the old unit in the car.
