i did the "blue locktite" to it today!!!! while i had the whole arm off i took to my vise and sort coaxed it to more horizontal shape. seems to have workd well. when the blade is full right...its cleaning the winshild beneath it.
i worked auto parts for many years and have seen many different winshiled configurations.....but iam just so dumbstruck with this "tapered, pressure fit" on a car with so much technology in the rest of the car..guess they didnt have time to develope a better wiper setup. this type of tapered arm/pressure fit went out in the late 50's early 60's seriously. jeeps, tractors, trucks that had vacume wipers used this same TA/PF. it was replaces with a lot better workin mechanisum. i know this is gona be a problem for the life of this car....its a short cut that should not been taken.
