'93 850 glt Transmission

I have begun to notice an occassional 'stuttering' when accelerating from a stop. This only happens in the lowest gear, and not all the time. Sometimes it is more noticeable after the car has been driven for a longer period of time. I believe this could be the transmission. The car only has @90k miles. What are my options when it comes to replacing/rebuilding a transmission. Other than this problem, the car is in great shape and still rides beautifully.
