94' 850 car shudders violently only in reverse, help! 850

94', 850, not a turbo, around 150,000 miles, car shudders violently when put in reverse, problem is intermittent regardless of how long the car sat and Florida is always warm. Had the tranny flushed, but it didn't help. No problem with the parking bracke since Florida is flat and my parking brake was never used. Do you think it could have something to do with the shift-lock switch? It was giving me a problem shifting out of park without engaging the shift-lock button, but that problem stopped and was replaced with this reverse shudder problem!!! Pleeeeese help! I don't want to waste money on a new tranny if it isn't needed. Thanks heaps.
