ok we need to get a bit diagnostic here HOW has the turbo failed...is it loosing seals, shaft wear...blade failure....there are several failur modes..some of which indicate other problems rather than turbo failure but can show up as turbo's leaking oil...

for instance....

blocked induction pipes
blocked exhaust
failing cat
holed turbo hoses
blocked PCV system

may all result in oil loss from the turbo, may eventually kill it but may be corrected and the turbo be perefectly ok...

so HOW has it 'blown out'...

the 'volvo' turbo is better is total BS..vovlo dont make their own turbos..they buy them in....

garret or mitsubishi historically ....that said you want a quality replacement from a known builder...
