alpine cd changer in glove box. 850

question for the members who have installed a s630 into the glovebox. did you use anything to hold the changer inplace or did you just cram it into the back of the box and let it hold itself? i installed one last night and wasn't able to make use of the brackets but it seem to hold well inside the box.
second question, i bought mine off ebay without a manual and was wondering if i needed to move the adjustment thingon the two sides so that the button is under the H sign, i assume that states for horizontal position. thanks Ken
