Rear hatch seal rusting inside 850 wagon - How to replace? 850 1995

This is a common problem in all 850 wagon. I replaced mine a couple years ago.

You grep hold the old trim and pull it out from either side (slide it out). You will need some force to pull it out.

I ordered a new one from Volvo dealer. Installation is tricky and need a lot of pressing the new trim in place.

With the old trim out, I cleaned up the area (gap). Slide the new trim from either side slowly. It needs a lot of patient. After the new trim is in place, press down the trim firmly to make sure that it is "flat" all the way. I used my finger to do that and ended up with a sore finger tips. So, I used a small piece of wood to help me to complete the process.

Hope this help.
