AC Compressor won't engage S70 1998

Greatings
Just had a freon charge, and the compressor will not engage. Checked fuses and relay, both ok. Jumped the relay contacts and compressor started, cold air, it was great. What engages the relay? Schematic just says "Cimate Control" and ECC, manual has no other info. The fan works, no flashing LED signals. Any advice, I want to fix this on my own.
