tranny flush ?

Flshing it your self is fairly easy. I would get a new clamp and O ring before you change it, just to be on the safe side. The 1997 did have a filter screen, but I have never heard of one getting dirty. Besides, then you need to drop the pan, and that is totally unnecessary.
If you do it yourself, go syhetic. That will cost you about $60 for 12 quarts and you will be happiest.
