A sad day for my V70 (long)... V70-XC70 1998

The R is not a T5. Because of awd, the 0-60 speed is lower but the torque steer is gone. It still jumps when floored,, but you are in total control.
The maint issues:
AC evaporator... same old, same old
awd problems. Mine makes noises when cold. I asked the dealer (Borton) and they said it is possible to siphon out the old liquid and put in new, but it is not reccomended? My rear differential will grind when making a 180 turn with the front wheels turned to max. You WILL replace all 4 tires with new ones, never use the spare (AAA) and check the tire pressure.
The suspension is rough with sport springs, but absolutely no body roll.
My rear hatch is loose and rattles, but I just fixed it by applying a thick two sided carpet tape on the body and covering it in matching electrical tape - no more rattles.
Looking closely at the Ebay example, it will need new rotors when it gets new pads in the front.
Just like the T5, check the turbo air hose for oil drips near the radiator. That may indicate clogged vacuum lines at the turbo.
The radio is to die for! It takes a while to get used to the 3 CD player, you need a passenger to change CDs while driving, but the sound is great.
Make sure there are 2 usable key fobs.
Always call the seller and talk to them.
awd reduces milage by about 2mpg.
I like mine, but I wish it had a 5/6 speed tranny.
