Volvo is BIG on safety.
They may want to do an inspection on the car.
In the past (not sure now) Volvo usually came out of an accident site to learn from the accident (like Volvo 240) and learn what can be done to imrpove safety further.
This is why the 240 engine is inclined abit on the rear side, so in case one gets into an accident, the engine "tunnels" below the chassis, instead of protruding into the passenger's compartment. The 240 was perhaps the finest car Volvo ever made.
