coolant smell 850 1994

Only half of the antifreeze is water. The other half evaporates very slowly. I would suggest you start the car and flush the area with a garden hose, getting down to the bottom of the Tbelt area where the oil cooler hoses attach.
Then check the seal below the windshield to make sure it contacts the hood all the way around, and the rubber is seated properly.
