Your symptoms don't sound like a simple tune up problem. It sounds more like a loss of fuel pressure. Try turning the key to the run position and waiting 5 seconds before you try and start the car. If it will consistantly start this way when cold, a loss of fuel pressure is the problem. The the car won't start until sufficient fuel pressure is built up again.
