Hi Klaus,

Well, my car only makes the noise when it's warm and after I've been driving it. Say I drive for 10 miles or so and pull into a drive thru. After I sit there a few minutes idling, the noise progressively gets louder and remains until I get moving again. During that time, the noise speeds up as the rpms go up. At my next change, I'll try thicker oil. The trouble is that I want to use Mobil 1 synthetic but can't find it in a 10W-40. It has 5W-30 in it now.
