Use Mann filters IMHO. You may find this link helpful also:

The author covers most all of the common brand filters out there. As you can see, most of them are (1) junk and (2)made by your guess is as good as anyone elses. Oil filters are sorta like the government...companies farm them out to whoever will make them the cheapest. Mopar filters for example, are made by at least 3-4 companies who just stick the Mopar name on them.
