I've noticed the 10 year cut-off on the warranty on these myself, but no one wants to discuss this. My understanding is that they have to be replaced= expensive. No one is worrying about them it seems, but should we?? I don't know. I suspect that they will continue to work- at least for awhile. It's like eating something after the expiration date, or milk lasting longer than the date printed on the side of the gallon jug.
