Klaus,
Your advice " Mixed with distilled water, that gets you 2 gallons of antifreeze, which should be enough for a complete flush." is OK for topping up but most of us can only get half the old water out after flushing with fresh water. A gallon of antifreeze will usually fit after flushing, thereby resulting in a 50/50 mix with the remaining fresh water.
