OBDII on a 94 850 1994

I have a 94 850 turbo wagon that has OBDII. However, everywhere I go or read, it says that OBDII didn't come on volvos until later years. The other day I went to Autozone to get a free check engine light scan and the guy didn't want to go to my car to do it because he didn't believe that a 94 could have a OBDII.
Does anyone else has an OBDII on a 94?
My car was originally bought by my cousin in October of 94.
