PCV or no PCV 1998 V70 T5 - cleaning PCV system?

You are confusing the flame trap and the oil trap (part of the pcv system). Your car DOES NOT have a flame trap but it does have the other. Ask me how I know? I spend a good 5 hours taking my intake manifold off and changing out the oil trap (also called the separator or breather box) along with all of the hoses from it to the bottom of the air box tube to the turbo and replacing all of these things last winter. I have the same car as you (only in the sedan version).
