1995 850 Overheating

I bought a wreaked 1995 850. It was running fine until I relaced the radiator and the radiator support system from a 1993 model. Ever since then it cotinues to run hot after about five minutes. I changed the thermostat and every time I run the car it gets hot and then the fan starts up and I cut off the motor. Any clues or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

At first, I thought it that all I needed was to let it ru hot and then the new fluid would pass the thermostat and continue to fill the syatem. However, after going through that event once, I am highly leary of driving the car because of its tendency to run hot.
