So where's the damn trap door?

I hauled all my Marcia Ball and BB King tapes out of the console. No trap door. I popped the insert around the lever out. No sign of any adjusting screw. I removed the panel where the rear ask tray might have been. Still no sign.

I am blind, and removed my trifocals to see what I was doing, but only wound up bumping my head.
