Just warm up the tranny by driving locally for about 15 minutes. After parking on a level spot, shift slowly to R and D and finally P. Leave the engine running, open the hood and reach under the air intake by the radiator and pull up on the yellow handle. Wipe, insert, pull out, and check fluid level on the hot side.
